Brooklyn, NY by way of California
Necklace custom made by me, with my initials on it. I had this made when I was about 14 from my old silver jewelry in Lake County California where my dad lives and where I grew up.
Stack of about 20 or so silver bangles: I was obsessed with Lauren Hills bangles when I was 16 so I had a friend bring me those back from Mexico and never took them off since!
The “V” shaped cuff: i found in a vintage store I wear that everyday on my left arm its a signature. The funny thing is that looking at old pics of my mom she used to wear a similar piece when she was in her 20s in the 60s in SF in her young hippie days right before she met my dad, she was way cooler and hipper then I am, makes me feel awesome that i have a similar piece.
Rings both silver: that I pretty much wear everyday! The shapes together look awesome and remind me of some cool psychedelic rock band from the 70s.
Leather belt: remember the “belt” craze! ugh that trend years ago turned me all the way off of belts, until I snagged this 1. Its so awesome I add this to any outfit and its makes them all totally perfect!
Lipstick: Ruby Woo by Mac, its Matte and perfect automatic sex appeal I swear by it.
Nail Polish: Ginger + Liz “got her groove back” this gold is so fantastic just 1 coat and it looks like minx.
Shoes: Chloe platform sandals I bought these about 4 seasons ago, maybe 5, I cant live without platforms especially these (I don’t care if they are season ago)! Super vixen status about 5 inches high and the back is half Lucite bonus!
Perfume: Keiko Mecheri Loukhoum scent, love! This has been a signature scent of mine for about 6 years, its soft, pretty and musky. Its very “lady”. love it!
CD: Stev Reichs Drumming, this album calms and soothes me anytime I need to reboot and melts the city stress away.
Earring: Can’t ever go wrong with feathers! Sometimes I hook this in my hair its by Ladytripper
Ashtray: Silver Shell ashtray, found this at a housing works in NYC score! Perfect way to cover up those ugly ashes. It totally looks like something from the 20s too.
Magazine: Avant Garde issue #5 – the Tom Wesselmann issue. First off I love Tom Wesselmann. I have the entire collection of Avant Garde magazines from the 60s only 14 were made. They are all so incredible, but this 1 is totally my favorite.
